Patient Privacy Rights (PPR) invites you to attend a preview of the 4th Annual International Summit on the Future of Health Privacy to be held this summer in Washington D.C.
This preview will feature a roundtable on patient access to personal data, privacy, and identity. The discussion will explore the need for strong, voluntary, patient-controlled cyber-ID’s across the healthcare system, how cyber-ID’s can enable patients to “assert” their own identities while sharing only the attributes needed for a particular transaction, selectively and efficiently transfer their own electronic health records, and communicate directly with their physicians.
The upcoming 2014 Health Privacy Summit in June will bring together a diverse group of experts and keynotes that will focus on urgent health privacy issues including cyber-IDs, patient access to personal health data via Blue Button +, mobile apps and privacy, HIEs, research and genetics, developments in international cybersecurity and privacy law, the use of big data for research, the ethics of privacy, and ubiquitous new methods for identification and surveillance.
