The Chicago-based conservative think tank The Heartland Institute has released a scathing critique of the government’s efforts to promote healthcare information technology.

The article, written by Sanjit Bagchi and published in theHeartland Institute’s August issue of  Health Care News, charges that the plan put forth last month by the Office of the National Coordinator, which works under the umbrella of the Department of Health and Human Services, is “poorly conceived.”
