Lawmakers introduce healthcare IT legislation
U.S. Reps. John Dingell (D-Mich. ) and Joe Barton (R-Texas) introduced Tuesday legislation aimed at encouraging speedier adoption of healthcare information technology while also protecting patient privacy.
H.R. 6357, the “Protecting Records, Optimizing Treatment, and Easing Communication through Healthcare Technology Act of 2008″ is also called the “PRO(TECH)T Act of 2008″
